As gateways to knowledge and culture, library
plays a fundamental role in society. The resources and services they
offer create opportunities for learning, support literacy and education, and
help shape the new ideas and perspectives that are central to a creative and
innovative society. They
also help ensure an authentic record of knowledge created and accumulated by
past generations.
Our central library library is housed in a
spacious three-storied building adjoining administrative building of the
college. It represents a structure that houses a collection of services and
resources of useful material, published, unpublished, or audiovisual content
that serves common use, be it in the field of biology, mathematics statistics
or computer science. We have helpful staff for serving information and explain
it to students and teaching faculties. And also plays important role in
selection, collection of knowledge, preserving and disseminating it to those
aspiring for it.
In the beginning the college library was housed in one small room.
College received grant from UGC towards the construction of present new
building. The new building was designed and opened from 1999.
