The economics department came into existence in June 1983. The Post-Graduation i.e. M.A. Economics has commenced from June 2002.The department having high qualified and experienced faculties along with one Professor. The department organized National Seminar on Agricultural Finance in January 2018. The department enhancing the writing ability and research analysis skills among the students by providing the plat form of ‘Arth Parv’ which is published every year. The department tries to increasing practical knowledge among the students by conducting guest lectures and seminars.  The Economic Forum provides the platform to UG and PG students to present their views and ideas on current economic issues. The outstanding achievement of the students: 

1. Varsha  Walunj received Gold Medal at University in the subject of B.A. Economics in the year 1999 and qualified SET examination in the year 2021.

2. Manik  Borhade received Gold Medal at University in the subject of M.A. Economics in the year 2005 and awarded with Ph.D. degree in the year 2015.
